During the 1970’s, infamous serial killer, Ted Bundy raped and viciously murdered an estimate of 30 women from several North-Western States and the state of Florida. Bundy introduced a new image of what a serial killer could look like, he was handsome, articulate, and educated which astonished the United States. He used his wits and charm to seduce women into trusting him, subsequently leading to the deaths of many young innocent women. On Sunday, March 31, influential rapper Ermias Asghedom, better known as Nipsey Hussle, was fatally shot outside of his clothing store in Los Angeles. Asghedoms first studio album, titled Victory Lap, was released of February 2018, and peaked at #4 on the music charts. That album also won him his first and only grammy nomination for Best Rap Album. Back in 2010, he founded the record label “All Money In Records”, where he dropped a few of his mixtapes and signed seven other artists. Blockbuster movies that have come out or are pending this year so far are Jordan Peele’s Us, the live remake of Aladdin, and Avengers: Endgame. While all of these are no short of entertaining and thrilling movies, many others disappointed audiences. One such movie is Captive State, a sci-fi film about extrasestial beings occupying Chicago. Humanity has the choice to continue living under alien rule or resist against it. After reading the description and watching the trailer, it’s easy to assume that while the concept may be unoriginal, the story would at least be intriguing.
